Crystal Harris has been diagnosed with Lyme disease and she’s urging everyone to get tested.
“I was diagnosed a few days ago and have a long road ahead of me,” Hugh Hefner’s 29-year-old wife wrote on Instagram Monday.
“Supposedly you get it from ticks but I have absolutely no recollection of being bit or having a rash or ANYTHING.” Harris says many people have Lyme disease but don’t know it.
She lists symptoms that can include vision or hearing problems, sore muscles, heart palpitations, memory trouble and generic flu symptoms.
“It is a disease so many people are living with and is becoming an epidemic,” Harris continued. Doctors told me it was just ‘stress’ or ‘all in my head’ but I finally figured it out and you can too.” Harris joins a growing list of stars who’ve been diagnosed in recent years, including Yolanda Foster and Avril Lavigne.
Keith Hefner, the younger brother of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, died on Friday, April 8, at his home in Beverly Hills, TMZ reports. According to TMZ, the younger Hefner brother had been battling cancer.
However, it remains unclear whether the disease was the cause of his death.
Keith was a longtime executive at Playboy and handled everything from training Playboy Bunnies to recruiting the models.
He also has a few film credits under his belt, including 1977's Evil Town and 1985's Fever Pitch. On Thursday, April 7, prior to Keith's death, Caya shared a sentimental throwback photo of herself with her husband and his famous big brother, who turns 90 on Saturday, April 9.
Keith's wife also posted a Snapchat of herself goofing around in bed with her ailing husband this past Monday, April 4.
"Love him very much.." she captioned the video on Facebook.
